yesterday was the first night i ever slept in my retro rocket rascal Pj’s. i had more grown up pajamas when i was five, but i love them. i used this flannel by micheal miller. oddly enough this appears to be the only place on the whole internet that sells it. i can’t see why. considering what an awesome product this is i would think that there would be a lot of demand. (but then again i thought that about the Nancy drew fabric and when i finally got around to ordering some they had gone out of business.) The pattern is one of my own design, made out of newspaper. i was soooooooooo happy with how the sleeve cap turned out, as i had tried once before and it looked like AWFUL, but this time everything fit together perfectly. my biggest problem was with the pants, i notched them in instead of out, leading to big wrinkles, but i’m sleeping in them not walking the runway so thats okay.
this isn’t the best picture, but if you look closely you can see the basics details. the front is a wrap top, each side snaps onto the other. the pants are draw-string waisted. at the moment they are held up with a piece of yarn because i haven’t been able to get to the fabric store.
